You can contact us and we will spray for mosquitos. If you are hosting a party, spray the day before your event.
Light candles or lanterns.
Use candles scented with citronella, lemongrass, peppermint, and other oils.
Set mosquito traps.
This is great when you are hosting a party when you use them in conjunction with other repellents.
Spray on personal repellents.
You can always go with the old standby of using traditional over the counter or a dyi bug spray. Cover your feet, they love love sweat and bacteria, which makes your feet a prime target.
Dress in light colors.
Make sure you cover your arms and legs with lightweight, light-colored clothes.
Eliminate standing water.
Make sure you dump out standing water from toys or pots. It only takes one week from egg to adult, you must do this on a regular basis to keep them off your property.
Clean up debris.
Some mosquitos will lay their eggs on decaying logs or yard debris. Another great reason to clean up the back yard.
Keep Porch Lights Off
Lights are a beacon to your home and makes it easier for them to come inside when you open the door. If you like having your lights on switch them to yellow lights.
Plant mosquito-repelling plants.
Plant lavender, rosemary, catnip, bee balm, ageratum, peppermint, basil, sage, citronella, lemongrass, and/or marigold. All naturally repel mosquitoes. Plant them around your yard and deck.
Sprinkle your coffee grounds in areas where the mosquito larvae grow. The coffee ground keep the larvae from growing.
